DOLLHOUSE & FURNITURE DIY
about
Hello, world. My name is E, and I like to make dollhouses and dollhouse furniture. This here is my little spot on the internet for mini furniture templates because the people asked and I thought I'd at least make an attempt to deliver. I designed these templates myself and they are free to use. Just print the PDFs. Please give credit where credit is due. If you have an issue with something in a PDF, leave a comment on the corresponding YT video so I know to address it and adjust it. Thanks for stopping by, and stay crafty.
Furniture Templates

Kitchen Table and Chairs
Scale: 1/6 (Barbie, Licca-chan, Integrity Toys)
Materials: chipboard/matboard, glue, paint
These are patterns for 1 basic chair and 1 basic table. The furniture in the photo was made using the templates as a base. The chair backs and tabletop were customized afterwards. You can use real life references to customize the table and chair designs to suit your own style.

"Wooden" Stool
Scale: 1/6 (Barbie, Licca-chan, Integrity Toys)
Materials: chipboard, narrow craft sticks, glue, paint
The promotional pictures for Cafe Hopping Momoko inspired me to put a stool in her photoshoot, which meant I had to make one, which meant hey why not make a DIY? This template can be made with only chipboard or with matboard and craft sticks. I show the craft stick method in the youtube video. The default size of the stool is best suited for Barbie sized 1/6 dolls like Integrity Toys but can also be printed at 80% to create a stool better sized to smaller 1/6 dolls like Momoko, Azone, and Licca.

UP FOR A CRAFT CHALLENGE?
I invite any craft lover, doll lover, or diorama lover to try this challenge. Use the items on the list to create a small scene. The challenge is 3 months long (plus an extension), but even if you miss it this is something you can try at anytime to work on your crafting and diorama skills. #minidollydiorama

If you're looking for some inspiration, you can check out my diorama video for inspiration. I challenged myself to make all of the listed items (though the wall backdrop was made off camera). Crafts include a mirror, 2 candles in holders, a tier tray, a flat tray, paper plates, a framed picture, a chest that opens, closed books, a vase of flowers, and a pedestal table.

Miniverse Spa Shelf Dupe
Scale: 1/6, though it could work as a large shelf for smaller figures
Materials: chipboard/matboard & glue (optional - narrow craft sticks, bamboo skewers, craft foam, paint)

Once again I was inspired by MGA's Miniverse to recreate the shelf from their big spa set. In other words, I wanted to avoid having to buy the set just because I liked the shelf. I don't know the exact dimensions of the real shelf, but I've put together my own template for something similar. I also added a few supporting bevels here and there because y'all know how I do, but that part is totally optional. The 2 basic shapes you'll need are in the pdf. The shelf made in the video is around 5 and half inches tall but I've also included a template for a larger 7 inch tall shelf, the first link below.

Side Table Shelf
Scale: 1/6
Materials: chipboard/matboard, glue, & paint
(optional - narrow craft sticks)

I got a few Mini Brands Books balls for Christmas and decided to make a custom shelf for them. These sets can come with shelves but not always. Plus it's more fun to make our own stuff. The long side of the shelf cut-out is slightly shorter than the the shelving unit side. That is intentional, as the shelves are slightly inset. So if you're gluing pieces together and find the shelves don't quite reach the ends of the X pieces, don't worry, you're good.

Modular Sofa (2 Chairs that can become 1 Couch)
Scale: 1/6
Materials: chipboard/matboard, glue, & paint
(optional - narrow craft sticks)

Need a couch to go with that X patterned side table? Or maybe you don't have the space for a couch in your diorama and just need a chair? Either way, I got you covered with this modular sofa, 2 big comfy chairs that slide together to make a couch that seats 3 dolls (and 2 of them are curvy). It also makes great patio furniture.

Mini Mantle Bookcase
Scale: 1/6 (Barbie, Licca-chan, Integrity Toys)
Materials: foam board, glue, paint
This craft was designed with Licca in mind and made spontaneously, though for once I did include measurements so I excluded the 1" size reference on the printable. While I measured it out in centimeters, the craft works just fine with foam board which is 3/16" thick. The difference between that and 0.5 cm is minor. This was inspired by the little mantle shelf in the Licca x Franc Franc blue room as well as the Licca x Cainz wooden furniture. These templates are for the basic frame. I plant to add more printables for some of the trim later.

I have a doll, y'all!
I submitted a design for the Ruby Red Fashion Friends Create Your Dream Doll contest, and a year later they've made my doll! She's a collector doll available for preorder between May 24 and June 7 2025 and is also on sale at FAO Schwarz I guess until stock runs out. While technically not a craft, the doll is based on my design so I decided to share her here. I'm very grateful to Ruby Red for the opportunity!
Black doll characters are often dressed casually or glam but rarely do they get to be the kawaii one in a group. I think there's sort of this stereotype of black females being sassy and outspoken, divas, stylish in a more glamorous or sometimes gaudy way, and younger girls viewed as being more mature than they are, but that's not all of us. For that reason it was important to me to design a black doll that was dressed cutesy and sweet. She's rockin' my favorite color, wearing somewhat dressy little girl's fashion with a quirky strawberry twist.
